TROUBLESHOOTING

When fomo Doesn't Do What You Expected

Most of what shows up as a “problem” with fomo turns out to be one of a handful of predictable things -- usually the fee minimum or a regional restriction, not a bug.

Reviewed by Concept211Every fee figure sourced from fomo's Terms of Service and help center.

“My Small Trade Cost Way More Than Expected”

This is almost always the minimum fee doing exactly what it's designed to do. On Solana, any order under 200 USDC carries a flat $0.95 minimum fee, regardless of how small the trade is. A $10 buy costs $0.95 -- 9.5% -- which feels enormous compared to the advertised 0.50% headline rate, because the headline rate only really applies once you're trading in bigger amounts. Full math on the fees page.

“I Don't See Perpetual Futures”

fomo's own terms of service state perps are not available to U.S. Persons, and may be restricted in additional jurisdictions at fomo's discretion. If you're in a restricted region, this isn't a bug or an account issue -- it's a deliberate regulatory restriction, consistent with how most crypto perps products handle US access. Spot trading is unaffected. See how fomo perps actually work for the full mechanics.

“A Trade Didn't Go Through”

Crypto trades happen on public blockchains where prices can move between the moment you open an order and the moment you confirm it, especially on lower-liquidity tokens. Check the confirmation screen for any slippage warning before your trade fails, and be cautious trading tokens with very low volume, where price swings between confirmation steps are more common and more severe.

“I Searched for fomo and Found a Different App”

The word “fomo” is common enough that it's used by several unrelated products, notably a South African food and lifestyle deals app called FomoAppSA, unrelated to fomo Labs Inc. and older than it by several years. Verify the developer is listed as FOMO Labs Inc. before downloading.

“Someone DMed Me Offering to Help With a Trade”

This is a scam pattern, not a fomo feature. fomo will never DM you asking to move funds or offering to broker a trade through “escrow.” If you receive a message like this -- even from an account that looks like a trader you follow on the app -- do not send funds or connect a wallet. See the full security hub for documented fake fomo sites.

“I Need Help With My Actual Account”

This site is independent and has no relationship with fomo Labs Inc. -- we can't access your account, recover funds, reverse a transaction, or resolve account-specific support issues. For real account problems, use fomo's own official support channels, linked inside the app. If anyone outside those official channels offers to “help” in exchange for your key, your password, or a payment, that is a scam.
