The app is published by FOMO Labs, Inc. That is the entity named on fomo.family/terms and it is the developer name to look for on an app store listing. There is one company here, not a company plus a foundation, which is worth saying because the two-entity structure is common enough in crypto that people assume it.

On funding, fomo has announced three rounds: a pre-seed in early 2025, a Series A later that year, and a $75M Series B in June 2026 that fomo says was led by Index Ventures at a $550M valuation, taking the total to roughly $94M. Everything in that sentence comes from the company's own announcements and the press coverage of them, checked 2026-08-14. In place of a points system, fomo runs a referral program, and its help center spells out the terms: sign up through a code and your trading fee drops from 0.50% to 0.45%, permanently, while whoever referred you earns 25% of the fees you go on to pay. The same help center says a code can only be added at signup, with no documented route to apply one to an account that already exists. A Name With a Lot of Competition

“FOMO” is common enough crypto slang that the name attracts unrelated products. fomo.com belongs to a marketing software company, a different business at a different domain. Several unrelated cryptocurrencies use FOMO as a ticker. And the app stores carry FomoAppSA, a South African food and lifestyle deals app published under a different developer name, which is the thing people actually download by mistake. The check that settles it is the listing itself: the domain should be fomo.family, the developer should read FOMO Labs, Inc., and the X account is @fomo rather than the near-dormant @tryfomo handle.

What This Means for a fomo User

Corporate news is the least useful thing on this page for someone about to place a trade. Per fomo's help center, the key to your wallet is split into shares that no single party holds in full, which is a different arrangement from an exchange holding a balance for you.
