Who Are the Top Traders on fomo? What the Rankings Showed, and How Fast They Move

fomo logo - social crypto trading app In the first week of September 2026, crypto media discovered fomo's leaderboard. ChainCatcher ran newsflashes on the trader at the top of it on three separate days. Odaily profiled him. KuCoin syndicated an analysis of the whole top 20. Binance Square picked one of the ChainCatcher items up and pushed it to its feed.

Every one of those figures was accurate when it was filed. Every one of them was out of date by the next morning. That is the actual story here, and it is more useful than any of the numbers, so this page leads with it.

The trader publicly reported at the top of fomo's profit ranking is the pseudonymous X account Unipcs, better known as Bonk Guy. Across four days in early September 2026 the figure attached to him in published reporting went from about $6 million to $27 million, and the outlets were measuring three different things without saying so. Almost all of it is unrealized, meaning tokens still held. The same trader was liquidated out of a position carrying more than $30 million in paper profit during the October 2025 crash. Both facts belong in the same paragraph.

The number changed faster than the coverage

Here is every published figure we could source for the same trader's fomo position, in order. Each row is a different outlet, or the trader himself, on a different day.

Compiled from the sources in the table above

Two things are going on in that table, and only one of them is the market moving.

The outlets are not measuring the same quantity. Portfolio value ($27M), all-time profit and loss ($16.5M), and the value of holdings as read on-chain by Arkham ($15.74M) are three different numbers describing three different things. They appear in headlines interchangeably, which is how a reader ends up thinking a figure tripled in two days when part of the jump was a change of yardstick.

The rest of the move is real, and that is the problem. A figure with a roughly 24-hour shelf life cannot be published as a fact about a person. It is a reading off a screen at a moment. This is why you will not find a portfolio total in this page's title, and why we are not going to keep one there.

Unrealized means it is not money yet

ChainCatcher's own wording for the September 6 figures is "unrealized." MarsBit's analysis of the top 20 says most large positions on the board "still include unrealized gains and have not been fully cashed out." Unrealized profit is what a holding would fetch if sold at today's quoted price. For a token that launched weeks ago and trades in a thin market, the quoted price and the price you would actually get for a large sale are not the same number, and a large sale is itself what moves them apart.

Who Bonk Guy is, with the parts that are documented

Unipcs, who posts as @theunipcs and is widely called Bonk Guy, is a pseudonymous account. There is no verified identity behind it and we are not going to speculate about one. What is on the record:

  • He came in with a reputation. Odaily's September 4, 2026 profile traces it to a 2023 BONK position, roughly $16,000 of principal at 6x leverage, that reached a peak value above $20 million. WIF, Fartcoin, POPCAT and PNUT followed.
  • He joined fomo around May 2026 and says he was the first account to reach 500,000 followers there, "just a little over 3 months after joining." That follower claim is his own, posted on X, and fomo has not published a confirmation of it.
  • His fomo holdings, as read on-chain. Odaily, citing Arkham on September 4, 2026, put his on-chain total at $15.74 million across three positions: PONS, USELESS and Marscoin. His PONS entry was about $67,495 across three buys between July 15 and 17, 2026, when the token was valued at roughly a $6.1 million market capitalization.

Those token names are here because they are what the reporting describes him holding on a specific date, and for no other reason. All three are recent launches with thin markets, one of which went from roughly a $6 million valuation to several hundred million in a matter of weeks. Anyone reading this arrived after that move. It is a description of somebody else's position, not a list.

The trade that is missing from the coverage

In October 2025, during the crash that traders refer to by its date, his leveraged positions were liquidated when his ASTER collateral fell around 80 percent. Foresight News reported that those positions "had a peak floating profit of over $30 million, and still over $15 million right before the liquidation." Odaily's profile says he lost most of the profits.

This is not an accusation and it is not a knock on him. Getting liquidated in a market-wide crash is an occupational hazard for anyone running leverage, and he has been open about it. It is in this article because it is the cleanest available demonstration of what the word unrealized means in practice, and it comes from the exact same person whose paper gains are currently being written up as an achievement. A number above $30 million on a screen went to nothing over a weekend, eleven months ago, for the trader now at the top of the board.

Read the September figures with that in the frame.

The top 20, as of one specific day

MarsBit published an analysis of fomo's top 20 profit leaders that was relayed by Foresight News and mirrored by KuCoin on September 4, 2026. It is the only named ranking of the board that exists in English, and fomo did not publish it.

Across those 20 accounts: combined profit of $82.38 million, an average of $4.12 million, a median of $2.912 million, roughly 24,500 trades between them, and an average holding period of 4 days and 9 hours.

RankAccountReported PnL
1Unipcs (Bonk Guy)$14.26M
2DumbCrayonEater$8.93M
3Salem$6.30M

Further down, in the order MarsBit listed them: Nate, Burgz, AJC, ogle, Wood, RugDalio, LP 1, Frank, Change, Frogman, Avast, Cosby, "230", Cardinal Saint and Ethermonk. That is fifteen of the remaining seventeen; the last two did not come through the syndicated versions of the analysis we could reach, and we are not going to fill them in from memory. Several of the names are recognizable industry figures rather than anonymous wallets, including a co-founder of LONG, a Blockworks Research analyst and an advisor to WLFI, which is a different profile from the rest of the list.

Two of them have separate coverage. DumbCrayonEater was reported by Phemex on August 28, 2026 to have turned a $24,000 Coinbase logo - custodial exchange app Coinbase-funded wallet into a $3 million gain on the Sleepless AI token on Robinhood logo - broker offering crypto and perps Robinhood Chain, and Phemex noted that the account "reportedly has no linked social profiles." Per the MarsBit numbers that position returned roughly 345x over about 12 days. RugDalio held a PONS position of around $2.23 million, the same token as the account in first place.

This table was already stale when it was published

Every figure above is a September 4, 2026 reading. The account in first place had a different number attached to it by September 6. The 24-hour and 7-day tabs of fomo's board turn over constantly, and an average holding period of four days tells you how quickly the composition of a ranking like this changes. Treat it as a photograph, not a standings table.

Two disclosures, because both apply

This site earns from a fomo referral link. If you sign up through it you get a 10% discount on trading fees, per fomo's help center, and we get paid. That is disclosed on every page carrying the link, and it is why the odds article exists alongside this one rather than instead of it.

The trader in first place also earns from fomo referrals. Bonk Guy runs his own referral program with USDC rewards and has posted that "high-profile accounts/traders who join and trade through my ref will get especially sizable rewards." He has separately denied being paid by fomo to promote it, in a post stating he funds his activity "with 100% of my own money aside from referral fees and creator rewards." Nothing about that is hidden or unusual, and it does not make his trades less real. It does mean a story about his portfolio is also, structurally, a signup advertisement. Including this one.

He has also publicly addressed the argument that tokens he holds rise partly because his followers buy behind him, and has said he now holds back tickers until positions have already appreciated. That mechanism is the subject of the next article, where there is data on it.

What to actually take from this

A leaderboard is a list of people the market recently went well for. It is descriptive, and it is honest about being descriptive. What it cannot tell you is who the market will go well for next.

Any number you see attached to a fomo trader is a paper valuation on a date. Ask which date and which quantity before you compare two of them.

Follower counts and profit are different achievements. Half a million people watching a wallet changes what happens when that wallet buys, which is a fact about the market, not about the trader's skill.

Check what the board looks like a month later. The names that stay across the 30-day and all-time tabs are the interesting ones. The 24-hour tab is mostly telling you which token moved.

For how the ranking is built, which timeframes exist, and why you cannot open any of this in a browser, see the leaderboard explainer. For what happens to the people following it, keep reading.

Frequently Asked Questions

As of September 6, 2026, reporting from ChainCatcher, Odaily and MarsBit puts the pseudonymous X account Unipcs, known as Bonk Guy, in first place on fomo's profit ranking. That is a snapshot. The same board is refreshed continuously and the 24-hour and 7-day tabs turn over constantly, so first place on any given morning is a fact about that morning.

Depends which day you ask and which quantity the outlet measured. Between roughly September 2 and September 6, 2026, published figures for his fomo position ran from about $6 million to $27 million. The outlets were also reporting three different things interchangeably: total portfolio value, all-time profit and loss, and the value of his holdings as read on-chain by Arkham. Most of the gains are described by their own sources as unrealized, meaning tokens still held rather than money taken.

They are wallets attached to app handles, and most are pseudonymous. Bonk Guy posts publicly on X as @theunipcs. The trader ranked second in the MarsBit analysis, DumbCrayonEater, was reported by Phemex in August 2026 to have no linked social profiles at all. A few names further down the list are known industry figures. Treat the rest as accounts, not biographies.

Read the base rate first. DWF Ventures published research in late August 2026 finding about 6.16% of roughly 292,000 fomo wallets were profitable over 90 days on realized gains, with only 25 wallets clearing $10,000 net. A leaderboard is a list of the people the market went well for recently, which is not the same as a list of people whose next trade will go well.

Yes, and it is on the record. During the October 2025 crash his leveraged positions were liquidated after his ASTER collateral fell roughly 80%. Foresight News reported those positions had carried a peak floating profit of over $30 million, and still over $15 million shortly before the liquidation. That is his own track record rather than an allegation, and it is the most relevant fact about paper gains that we could find.
